Define custom user reports

Using the Define User Reports page, a user is able to define (configure) the following custom report types:

To access the Define User Reports page, click Reports > User Reports > Define User Reports.

Types of reports

The following are the report types you can define:

  • Standard user report - This user report allows you to use Accounts and the Summation structure of the Accounts. Period configuration is not required for this report type.

  • Flow report - This report contains three columns and allows you to use Flows, Journals, and Accounts (and the Summation of all these structures). For each line you can have one Flow /Calculated Flow, one Journal /Journal View, and up to three Accounts /Calculated Accounts. You can also select a Period to generate the report.

  • MultiPeriod report - This report allows you to use Accounts and the Summation structure of the Accounts. You need to define the period(s) to be shown in this report.

  • CashFlow report - This report allows you to use Accounts, Flows and Journals (and the Summation of all these structures).

Define a new user report

  1. Click .

  2. Enter the required information in the following fields:

    • Code - enter a unique code for the report. Maximum of 12 alphanumeric characters.

    • Description - description for the new report.

    • Group - enter a group code for the new report, for example, Standard. A group code allows you to filter the list of reports based on the code.

  3. Type - from the drop-down list, choose a report type. See Types of reports.

  4. In the File type field, select the output file type. Options include PDF, XLS, and XLSX.

  5. Click . The new report is added to the list on the left-side panel and the and buttons are also activated.

  6. Optionally, to create another report using the settings of this report, click , enter a New Code in the Copy this report pop-up and .

  7. Click to define the contents of the report. The definition (layout) page of the report type you selected is displayed.

  8. Enter the details required on the report definition page and save. Then, click to return to the Define User Reports page.

  9. In the File type field, select the output file type. Options include PDF, XLS, and XLSX. to view the report you just created.

  10. Click to generate the report. After the report is generated, a download link appears below for you to click and view it in the file type selected.
