The Management Console is relevant for customers who purchased Financial Consolidation before January 2025.

For customers who purchased it in or after January 2025, user and application settings can be managed in the Prophix One Portal. See the Portal Administrators Help for more information.

The Management Console is an authentication server application for managing user profile authentication, application customization, and integration of other external web applications.

With the use of Single Sign-On (SSO), we manage account creation and authentication in the Management Console, while user rights are managed in the application by the administrator.

SSO can be used with the following:

  • Azure AD

  • Office 365 (similar to Azure AD)

  • AD FS

  • Google

  • Gmail

Using the Management Console - Admins

The Management Console provides different functions that are used both by the admins and the users of the application.

For Admins, it provides the following benefits:

  • Customization of the application including:

    • updating the image displayed on the login page

    • customizing the Home page

    • updating the customer log in the Financial Consolidation reports

    • customizing the Apps button

  • System-wide messaging /communication — creating general notification for all users.

  • Security

    • defining default security for internal accounts (password format, length, etc.)

    • configuring links with external authentication providers

    • creating and importing users

Using the Management Console - Users

Users can use the Management Console to update their user profile including name and application language, and upload profile pictures.
