Bundle data validation report

The Bundle Validation page lets you validate data at the local or bundle level. Select a validation report to view its output — including validation types grouped by category, and any errors or warnings. Click an error or warning to investigate it further, or download the report for offline review.

To access the Bundle Validation page, click Data Entry > Reports > Bundle Validation tab.

The page displays all active validation reports, except those configured as For consolidation only (set in Configuration > System Structures > Validation Rules > Define Reports), which are available to consolidators only. For more information, see Create validation reports

View and delve into a bundle validation report

You can select one company and one validation report at a time.

1. From the Company list, select a company.

2. From the Validation Report list, select a report.

3. Click View report. The report is displayed below, with errors and warnings grouped into Group Validation and System Validation. A summary chart also displays the report count in each group.

   

4. Optionally, use the following buttons to filter the results in the table:

   • All — displays all bundle validation rule codes including those processed successfully, those with errors, and those with warnings.

   • Errors — displays only the validation rules that failed, and halted the validation process.

   • Warnings — displays the validation rules that encountered some issues but did not halt the validation process.

5. Click an error or warning to view the details that caused it.

   

6. To investigate further, click to open a data entry page, where you can review the issue and make corrections.

Download a bundle validation report

1. Select a Company and Validation report .

2. Click .

3. In the Report Settings dialog, configure the following options:

   

   • In the File type field, select the output format.

   • In the Included in the report field, select the options you want included in the report:

     • Show all rules — when selected, the report includes rules. When cleared only rules with errors are shown.

     • Show details — when selected, the report includes the details of every rule. When cleared, only summaries are shown.

     • Show zeros — when selected, the report includes all rules, including the ones where every item has an amount of zero.

4. Download the report.
