Customer security
The Customer Security page displays the list of customers. An administrator can effectively configure and oversee customer details while granting users the necessary access to those customers.
To access the Customers/Users page, click Administration > Security > Customers/Users.
The left-side panel contains a list of all existing Customer Codes and Names in the application. The right-side panel is where you can view and modify the details of the selected Customer, including the assignment of the User to the Customer.
Add customer

On the
Administration > Security > Customers/Users page, click

Enter the Customer Code and Name in their respective fields.
Customer code length is 3 to 10 characters; and 25 characters maximum for Description.
Note: The Default Data Lang and Default App Language fields are pre-populated.

Click
. The customer is displayed in the list on the left-side panel. You can now give users access to the customer.
Any attempt to create customers over your license limit will trigger a message for you to consult your Prophix account manager.
Give users access to customers (manage permissions)

On the left-side panel, select a Customer ID from the list of Customers.

In the Available table, select the User you want to give access to the selected Customer.

In the Role field, select a specific role for the user. The possible roles are:

Administrator- gets full access to all menus.

Consolidator - gets full access to all menus except for the Configuration – Administration menu.

End-User - gets full access to the Data Entry menu and some of the Reports menu.

Auditor - gets the same access as Consolidator, but in read-only mode.

Optionally, to restrict the user to the role selected, click Restricted.

Current Period - enter the working consolidation period or click
to select the consolidation period you want.

Reference Period - enter the reference consolidation period or click
to select the consolidation period you want,

Data Language - select the language that will be used for the data.

App Language - select the language that will be used for the application menu.

Culture Info - select the regional settings that will be used by the User.

Click
to transfer the selected user to the Selected table.
Note: If you need to remove a user from the Selected table, just select the user you want to exclude and click
to transfer them back to the Available table.

If you want to specify the customer's consolidation period(s) that a user can access, click
next to the user's login in the Selected table to open the Conso Security page.
Modify customer
You can modify a customers code and name and manage the permissions for the selected customer

From the left-side panel, select the customer you want to modify.

Modify the customer’s code or name as desired.

Manage permissions for the selected customer (see Give users access to customers).

Delete customer

From the left-side panel, select the customer you want to delete.

Click
. The Delete customer notification is displayed.

Confirm your action. Deleted customer is removed from the customer list.
