Flow data
The Flows page is where you enter and verify flow data for your companies.
To access the Flows page,
Data Entry > Data Entry > Flows tab.
Page layout
The page is divided into two sections. The top section is for selecting the company and account you want to work on. The bottom section is the data entry table where you enter flow amounts for the selected account.
Top section
Use the fields at the top of the page to select the company and account you want to work on.
Company: Select the company from the drop-down list. Only companies available to you are shown.
Currency: Displays the currency of the selected company.
Account: Select the flow account. The list shows all accounts used for reporting flow data for the selected company.
Show:

All Accounts: Displays all flow accounts. This is the default.

Booked Accounts: Displays only flow accounts that have data entered for the selected company.

Booked Accounts with Differences: Displays only flow accounts that have an unjustified difference.

Reference Opening Amount: Displays the closing amount from the previous year-end, used as the opening amount for the reference period.
Additional functions

— Opens the Flow Management page for the selected company for you to enter and manage flow data in bulk. -
— Generates a copy of the data in the current data table. -
— Shows or hides specific columns in the table.
Data table
The table lists the flow lines for the selected account. You enter data directly in this table.
Each column has a filter field below the header. You can use the wildcard characters * and ? to perform searches within any column filter.

| Code | The code of the flow. |
| Name | The name of the flow. |
| Local Amount | The amount entered for the flow. |
| Historical Rate | The historical transaction rates. Applies only when the local currency of the company differs from the group currency. |
Actions column
Each row includes the following action icons:

Footer

Current Closing Amount: The current closing amount calculated from your entries.

Difference to justify: The remaining difference between the reference period opening amount and the current period closing amount. This must equal zero before the entry is complete.
Enter Flow data

Select the Company from the drop-down list.

Select the Account you want to enter data for.

In the flows table, enter the Local Amount for each applicable flow line.

If the local currency of the company differs from the group currency, enter the Historical Rate for the applicable flow lines.

If a Difference to justify amount is shown at in footer of the table, click
on the applicable flow line to allocate the remaining amount. -

Allocate an unjustified difference to a flow
If the Difference to justify field shows a remaining amount, you must allocate it to a flow line before your entry is complete.

In the applicable flow row, click
. The remaining amount is transferred to that flow line. Note: The difference is typically allocated to the net variation flow line.
